I Rule This Circus

Hoo boy. Been a while, hasn't it? Reason one: I've moved back in with my mum at the other side of the planet while sorting out a lack of money and a flatmate situation in flux. Reason two: I'm waist-deep in a professional writing project with a deadline that I keep pole-vaulting over. So yeah, I still exist, of sorts, and will try to be around a bit. That's all.

Midwinter Fair

Misha's back in New Zealand and a bit exhausted. He says he'll likely get the Midwinter Fair plot going after the holiday threads and we'll play it by ear on where the Daphne/George wedding happens.

The invitation is being delivered by owl to anyone who's a friend or family of Daphne or George.

The wedding will be outdoors in the gardens at Daphne's family estate, somewhere in France. (She's not even exactly sure where.) A one-time Portkey is included with each invitation, with instructions and a keyword to bring the guests to the ceremony.

A reception will be held immediately afterward, in some ridiculously huge room at the estate, with house elves passing champagne and an elegant buffet.

Anything I've missed? Kait, you're in charge of getting Daphne to figure out her escort, and pick out George's ring. I've still got the photo of the dress we photoshopped, and Daphne's ring. Anything else?

Thoughts? We'll do the wedding with just the core people, then open the reception to everyone, and it can run for as long as needed to let people get in there.
a real smile

I know no one will be surprised by this, but...

Mrs. Snape

Your perfect HP man is Severus Snape.

You like a guy of loyalty and intelligence and don't really mind if he comes across as a bit harsh. Or a bit bastardy. Or if he happens to terrify every child who crosses his path. The point is that under that rough exterior lies...well, a rough interior. But under that is a soft, squishy center and you don't mind at all that you're the only person in the world who gets to see it.

So, I should be posting this as George, but I'm incredibly lazy and can't be bothered to change logins.

Kait and I have been chatting about the wedding, and came up a while ago with the 20th of December as a good time to do it...but now I'm thinking, will anyone even be around? They can't do it without Severus and Draco, obviously, and George would like it if there were more Weasleys around than just Fred and Molly.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Tell us here!

Same as last fall, I'll be on vacation (barring state inspection) this Friday, the 31, until November 10.

Kait, hopefully soon after that we can get wedding things rolling?

Anything else...I'll likely get a chance to check e-mails and stuff, just won't be online like usual to play a lot. Drop me a note if you need anything.

Still having trouble with meebo off and on, but yahoo mail is working. Fred is in the park enjoying a late afternoon with Josephine, if anyone's walking around and wants to help feed the ducks.
things that make you go hmmmm

Where should Harry Potter be buried/entombed?

In the Visible Infinity RPG, great tragedy has struck, and Lucius Malfoy has killed The Boy Who Lived. The Wizarding Wireless Network mentioned during the Minister's address that there was a debate going on about where he should be laid to rest. The Daily Prophet is running a poll, therefore, to see what the public thinks!

As such, we're opening this poll to you, the wizarding public! And please feel free to comment with your "letters to the editor" if you have more to say.
